Toch besteden wij hieraan in IZ steeds meer aandacht. Zo maakt SmartIZ inmiddels al weer enige tijd onderdeel uit van dit blad. En deze uitgave staat zelfs voor een groot deel in het teken van smart technology.<br \/>\nWaarom?, hoor ik u denken. Prima dat de cv-ketels allemaal veel \u2018slimmer\u2019 worden en de ene na de andere marktpartij \u2013 cv-fabrikant of zelfs telecombedrijf \u2013 met een \u2018slimme\u2019 thermostaat aan komt zetten. Maar voor het installeren zelf maakt dat toch niet veel uit?<br \/>\nIn zekere zin is dit ook wel zo. Het installeren van een \u2018slimme\u2019 cv-ketel inclusief \u2018slimme\u2019 thermostaat vraagt niet opeens om hogere wiskunde. Juist niet, het gaat immers om \u2018slimme\u2019 apparaten. De technologie die erachter zit zorgt er zelf wel voor dat alles wat met elkaar verbonden moet worden, ook eenvoudig verbonden kan of gaat worden.<br \/>\nMaar het zal niet blijven bij alleen een \u2018slimme\u2019 cv-ketel of \u2018slimme\u2019 thermostaat. Er komen steeds meer intelligente componenten op de markt. Een bedrijf als Samsung bijvoorbeeld, verwacht in 2020 al zijn producten als zogenaamde \u2018connected devices\u2019 te gaan leveren. Dit wil zeggen dat al hun producten \u2013 van koelkast, tot airco \u2013 via internet met andere producten kunnen communiceren. \u2018Zo ontstaat een onvoorstelbaar grote pool aan informatieleveranciers\u2019, lezen we in het artikel Gebouw- en woningautomatisering: aan de slag ermee! in de uitgave die 8 november verschijnt. \u2018Ieder product of onderdeel is immers in staat informatie te leveren over zijn functie.\u2019<br \/>\nAls al die producten vervolgens onderdeel worden van het IT-netwerk in woningen of gebouwen, zal je als installateur toch mee moeten in de vaart der volkeren. Zeker als die \u2018smart woning\u2019 een \u2018smart wijk\u2019 of \u2018smart city\u2019 wordt.
