Ook offshore-windenergie zou in de komende periode 35 procent goedkoper kunnen worden en onshore-wind 26 procent. Volgens de onderzoekers is dit onder meer het gevolg van schaalvergroting en verbeteringen van de kerntechnologie. Sinds 2009 is zonne-energie al 80 procent goedkoper geworden, en bij elke verdubbeling van de ge\u00efnstalleerde capaciteit worden pv-modules 20 procent goedkoper, heeft het agentschap berekend. Windenergie is in dezelfde periode 30 tot 40 procent in prijs gezakt en per verdubbeling van de capaciteit komt daar nog eens 12 procent bij.<\/p>\n<p>In India produceren zonnesystemen al energie voor \u20ac0,03 per kilowattuur. De kosten van opwekking van zonnestroom beginnen dus in de buurt te komen van die van stroomopwekking met fossiele brandstoffen.
