Erik Ziengs, Tweede Kamerlid voor de VVD-fractie, diende een initiatiefnota in voor legionellaregelgeving. Doel: hoge kosten en administratieve lasten die gepaard gaan met het voorkomen van legionellabesmetting terug te brengen. Op 27 juni 2016 licht Ziengs zijn plannen toe op het TVVL Nationaal Congres Sanitaire Technieken in theater De Flint te Amersfoort. Tijdens dit congres wordt onder leiding van Tom van \u2019t Hek (BNR Nieuwsradio) een discussie gevoerd over de nota door o.a. de Stichting Veteranenziekte, Bronopsporings Eenheid Legionella (BEL) en Uneto-VNI. De nota bevat vijf voorstellen:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Herziening van prioritaire instellingen.<\/li>\n
  2. Centralisatie van het toezicht op legionellapreventie.<\/li>\n
  3. Geen nieuwe regels.<\/li>\n
  4. Minder aandacht voor verplichting, meer aandacht voor preventie en voorlichting.<\/li>\n
  5. Aanleg leidingwaterinstallaties volgens Bouwbesluit 2012.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    De reacties op de initiatiefnota van Ziengs zijn zeer verdeeld. Daags voor het congres overlegt de Tweede Kamer met de minister van Infrastructuur & Milieu, Melanie Schultz van Haegen. Zij komt grotendeels tegemoet aan de voorstellen uit de initiatiefnota. Verwacht wordt dat naar aanleiding van dat overleg de minister het initiatief neemt om een conceptregelgeving op te stellen. TVVL Expertgroep ST ziet het congres als een uitgelezen mogelijkheid de verschillen in zienswijzen over deze legionellaregelgeving uit te wisselen en hoopt dat het bereiken van wederzijds begrip gaat leiden tot een constructieve bijdrage aan een breed gedragen aanpassing van de wet- en regelgeving.<\/p>\n

    Verder staat het congres in het teken van hemelwaterafvoertechnieken, de invloed van waterleidingsprinklers op de drinkwaterkwaliteit in de woning, en de nieuwe normering (NEN1006:2015) voor leidingwaterinstallaties die binnenkort wettelijk van kracht wordt. Het programma wordt afgesloten met een korte presentatie over de activiteiten in het TVVL themajaar 2017 ‘WATER’ en de overhandiging van de digitale bibliotheek ‘Sanitaire Technieken 1970-2015’ van Will Scheffer. Deelnemers aan het congres krijgen deze bibliotheek met meer dan 1600 documenten uitgereikt.<\/p>\n
