Twintig jaar later is een leven zonder mobieltje ondenkbaar. Eenzelfde scenario staat ook het Internet of Things (IoT) te wachten, denkt Maurice Rebel, Senior Accountmanager bij LG Air Solutions. Wanneer de klant het gemak en de energiebesparing van IoT ontdekt, kan het volgens hem snel gaan. \u201cDeze verandering treft ook het vak van de installateur, dat steeds complexer zal worden.\u201d<\/h4>\n

<\/p>\n

Het Internet of Things verbindt apparaten met elkaar die je dagelijks gebruikt. Vaak wordt hierbij in eerste instantie gedacht aan auto\u2019s en koelkasten, maar ook het klimaatsysteem gaat hierin een centrale rol vervullen.<\/p>\n

Smart Thinq applicatie<\/h3>\n

Op dit moment zien we al eenvoudigere toepassingen van IoT in de praktijk. Denk aan je airconditioner of klimaatsysteem, die je via een app op je eigen smartphone kunt bedienen zodat je altijd thuiskomt in een aangenaam binnenklimaat.
\n\u201cBij LG zijn we hier ook actief mee bezig. Bijna alle klimaatproducten uit ons assortiment zijn voorzien van wifi-bedieningsmogelijkheden via de speciale Smart Thinq applicatie\u201d, vertelt Rebel.<\/p>\n

Gebruiksgemak<\/h3>\n

De toepassingen van IoT zijn vooral gericht op het gebruiksgemak voor de consument. \u201cWe verwachten dan ook steeds meer vraag vanuit de consument richting de installateur\u201d, legt de accountmanager van LG Air Solutions uit. \u201cHoewel de belangrijkste taak voor de installateur natuurlijk in eerste instantie een mooie technische installatie is, kan het absoluut geen kwaad om up-to-date te blijven wat betreft innovaties en de achterliggende techniek.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ondersteuning<\/h3>\n

\u201cUp-to-date blijven klinkt wellicht wat zwaar, maar door trainingen en kennisdeling kunnen installateurs hier eenvoudig een flinke slag in maken. In onze LG Academy ervaren we dat IoT een steeds actueler thema wordt. We hebben dit onderwerp dan ook opgenomen in onze trainingen. Door onze kennis en expertise te delen ondersteunen we installateurs. Daarnaast informeren we hen over de nieuwste innovaties op het gebied van klimaatsystemen. Ook met het beantwoorden van klantvragen helpen we onze partners. Dit door video\u2019s te ontwikkelen waar uitleg wordt gegeven over nieuwe functies, zoals de Smart Thinq app.\u201d<\/p>\n

Smart home<\/h3>\n

Het installateursvak gaat veranderen, klimaatinstallaties bestaan in de nabije toekomst niet langer uit alleen een warmtepomp of airconditioner.
