Bewoners besparen energie door ramen en roosters gesloten te houden. Voor voldoende ventilatie zijn we steeds meer afhankelijk van een goed mechanisch ventilatiesysteem, wat begint met de juiste uitgangspunten.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Minimale eisen<\/strong><br \/>\nHet Besluit bouwwerken leefomgeving (Bbl, 1-1-2024) eist voor bestaande bouw een minimale toevoer van 0,7 dm3\/s per m2 verblijfsgebied en bij nieuwbouw 0,9 dm3\/s. Minimale afzuigcapaciteiten zijn 25 m3\/u per toilet, 50 m3\/u per badkamer en 75 m3\/u voor een keuken. Deze grenswaarden worden vaak beschouwd als norm en soms verlaagd via een \u2018krijtstreepmethode\u2019 of een virtuele toekenning van verkeersruimten. De eisen zijn echter bedoeld als ondergrens.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Een slecht scenario<\/strong><br \/>\nSoms wordt te veel gelet op de capaciteit en te weinig op luchtsnelheid, weerstand, geluid, energiegebruik en warmteterugwinning. De ventilatie-units worden krap geselecteerd, luchtkanalen smal gedimensioneerd en luchthoeveelheden per ventiel gemaximeerd. Bewoners vermijden de hoge ventilatiestand en het systeem voldoet feitelijk niet aan de eisen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hoe dan wel<\/strong><br \/>\nMet name voor kleine verblijfsruimten en inpandige toilet- en badruimten is het goed om hogere debieten te hanteren. Voor grote ruimten is dit niet nodig vanwege het grote luchtvolume per persoon. Bij een feestje kan een raam worden geopend. Houdt in het ontwerp en bij de selectie van componenten rekening met overruimte. Kies de centrale (WTW-)unit liever te groot dan te klein. Beperk luchtsnelheden tot 3 m\/s en reken per ventiel maximaal 40 \u00e0 45 m3\/uur. Bedenk dat de luchtweerstand kwadratisch toeneemt met de snelheid en het energieverlies zelfs met de derde macht.<\/p>\n<p>Vermijd smoren en restricties in kanalen en bij ventielen. Een maximale ventilatie van een toilet van 35 of 40 m3\/uur hoeft niet te worden beperkt tot 25 m3\/uur.
