In 2024 waren er bijna 5.000 aanmeldingen voor een mbo-opleiding in werktuigbouwkundige installaties. Dat is een toename van 20% ten opzichte van 2020. Goed nieuws voor de sector in het algemeen en de energietransitie in het bijzonder. Maar het werpt ook de vraag op: hoe leiden we al die aankomende vakmensen op (starters \u00e9n zij-instromers), met het huidige gebrek aan vakdocenten? En hoe zorgen we dat ook vakmensen die al in installatiebranche werken, blijven sleutelen aan hun skills?
\nIn het loodgietersbedrijf van mijn opa en vader vond kennisoverdracht vooral plaats via meester\/gezel-koppels, en zo ging dat in veel branches, van bakker tot timmerman. Die vorm van leren is nog steeds een gouden combi, welke naam je er ook aan geeft. Tegelijkertijd zien we allerlei andere vormen van opleiden ontstaan. Met hybride docenten bijvoorbeeld, die de bedrijfspraktijk naar school brengen en andersom.
\nVan een innovatieve sector als de onze mag je bovendien verwachten dat opleiden meeloopt met de laatste ontwikkelingen. En dat zie ik overal om ons heen. Een voorbeeld? Game Based Training (zie artikel op pagina 38). Een virtuele leeromgeving waarin je interactief leert. Waterzijdig inregelen of de installatie van een warmtepomp kun je in de basis leren zonder veiligheidsrisico\u2019s en hoge (apparatuur)kosten en tijdsinvestering van bedrijf of school.<\/p>\n

We leren met AI. Via podcasts en apps. En met microlearning [ https:\/\/trendfiles.wij-techniek.nl\/microlearning\/<\/a>] zetten we in korte leermodules razendsnel stappen vooruit. De toekomst van leren is dus al begonnen, voor iedere leeftijd en ervaring. Laten we hem omarmen. Niet als vervanging van, maar als waardevolle aanvulling op leren op school en in de praktijk. Daar worden we allemaal beter van.<\/p>\n
