PBL gaf eerder aan dat de verduurzaming met hybride en groen gas de meest voordelige route naar een klimaatneutrale gebouwde omgeving is. Ook de eerder gepubliceerde scenariostudie \u2018Vier trajecten naar een klimaatneutrale gebouwde omgeving\u2019 toont aan dat een verduurzaming met groen gas en waterstof verreweg het goedkoopste is. Ruim de helft goedkoper dan de andere verduurzamingsroutes. Bovendien wordt de hoogste CO2-reductie gerealiseerd.<\/p>\n<p>Tegelijkertijd zien we dat groen gas in de gebouwde omgeving onder druk staat. En dat terwijl de beschikbaarheid een tijdelijk probleem is. Het blijkt dat er in 2030 maar liefst 5,1 miljard m3 groen gas geproduceerd kan worden. En door in te zetten op vergisting- en vergassingstechnieken, is het wel degelijk haalbaar om in 2050 voldoende groen gas te produceren om de volledige gebouwde omgeving mee te verduurzamen. Een enorme kans.<\/p>\n<p>Helaas wordt groen gas in de berekeningen voor het energielabel gezien als fossiel aardgas waardoor op papier een woning op groen gas hetzelfde label krijgt als een woning op aardgas. Dat hier verandering in komt is cruciaal voor de toekomst.<\/p>\n<p>Meer weten?
