En met succes. Er wordt steeds meer elektrisch gereden en steeds meer panden worden voorzien van warmtepompen. Maar met deze snelle transitie komen er ook nieuwe uitdagingen. E\u00e9n daarvan is netcongestie. Verduurzamen heeft dus een keerzijde.<br \/>\nDe toekomst ziet er elektrisch uit, vooral met de verplichte vervanging van cv-ketels door warmtepompen vanaf 2026. Het aantal ge\u00efnstalleerde warmtepompen zal naar verwachting exponentieel toenemen, met alle gevolgen voor het elektriciteitsnetwerk van dien. Dit werd pijnlijk duidelijk in Apeldoorn, waar een appartementencomplex met 124 nieuwe warmtepompen kampte met een gebrek aan aansluitingsmogelijkheden. Ook de groei van elektrische voertuigen brengt uitdagingen met zich mee. Hoewel de toename tot 2030 gematigd wordt verwacht, zal de behoefte aan laadinfrastructuur exponentieel groeien tegen 2044, met een geschatte vraag naar 4,3 miljoen laadpunten<br \/>\nWat betekent dit? Vertraging van verduurzamingsambities en -projecten? Heroverweging van locatiekeuze op basis van de beschikbaarheid en betrouwbaarheid van het elektriciteit? Ik zeg absoluut nee! En ik niet alleen. Het demissionaire kabinet stelde gelukkig in januari 25 miljard euro beschikbaar aan TenneT om aan de slag te gaan. Deze maand besloot netbeheerder Stedin met een investering van 924 miljoen 400 megawatt aan nieuw vermogen te realiseren.<br \/>\nHoewel de uitdagingen groot zijn, mogen we onze duurzame ambities niet opgeven. Sterker nog, we zagen al veel langer de congestie aankomen Het is nu een kwestie van prioriteiten stellen en slim omgaan met de beschikbare middelen. We investeren niet alleen in een betere toekomst voor onszelf, maar ook voor de generaties die na ons komen.
