\"\"Guerrillamarketing is niet super nieuw. Maar wel grensverleggend en soms zelfs op het randje van wat is toegestaan. Denk nog maar eens aan de campagne van Bavaria tijdens het WK-voetbal in Zuid-Afrika. Het is al even geleden. Budweiser was hoofdsponsor. Daar was het budget van Bavaria niet groot (lees: \u2018sterk\u2019) genoeg voor. Maar Bavaria trok wel slim de aandacht door tientallen jonge dames in oranje jurkjes in een groep op de tribune te laten plaatsnemen. De tv deed de rest, waardoor Bavaria bij een wereldwijd publiek onder de aandacht kwam.
\nDat is precies wat je met guerrillamarketing wil bereiken: flink de aandacht trekken van je doelgroep. Maar er zijn genoeg voorbeelden waarbij een dergelijke actie te ver gaat en nadelige gevolgen heeft. Ook deze actie. Want een hoofdsponsor heeft niet voor niets exclusieve rechten verworven en daar flink voor betaald. Een actie als deze voorkom je niet. En is ook niet strikt verboden. Maar leidt wel tot een rel en een gang naar de rechter. En de dames werden zelfs door de politie opgepakt, waardoor ook nog de Nederlandse ambassade ingeschakeld moest worden om ze weer vrij te krijgen. Misschien wel een iets uit de hand gelopen ludiek idee.
\nSlim bedacht, maar wat minder sterk doordacht. En daarom geldt ook voor het marketingvak: als je er niet \u2018sterk\u2019 in bent, moet je slim zijn. En kun je de marketing misschien beter over laten aan een professional. Ik praat er graag een keer met je over.
