Het nieuwe onderzoeks- en ontwikkelingscentrum van Nefit Bosch in Deventer is op 2 september officieel geopend. Een belangrijk nieuw onderdeel van het centrum is een state-of-the-art waterstoflab. Tegelijk met het R&D centrum is ook een lokaal netwerk in gebruik genomen voor groene waterstof.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bosch heeft aangekondigd vanaf 2029 cv-toestellen te leveren die klaar zijn voor waterstof. Voordat massaproductie van deze waterstofketels mogelijk is, is een uitgebreid testtraject noodzakelijk. In het nieuwe lab in Deventer wordt de hele levensduur van de ketel gesimuleerd. Gedurende 15 maanden vindt levensduurvalidatie plaats van onder meer warmtewisselaars, branders, ontstekingssystemen en rookgasafdichtingen. De testen zijn noodzakelijk om te zorgen dat de nieuwe toestellen net zo betrouwbaar en veilig zijn als de huidige generatie cv-ketels op aardgas.<\/p>\n

Duurtesten
\n<\/strong>\u201cIn het nieuwe R&D centrum voeren we onder meer duurtesten uit met onze nieuwe cv-ketels die op waterstof werken. Dat doen we met 80 testbanken voor de hele Europese markt. Hiervoor is een permanente aanvoer van grote hoeveelheden groene waterstof nodig\u201d, aldus Markus Baumeister, directeur R&D van Nefit Bosch.<\/p>\n

Lokaal waterstofnetwerk
\n<\/strong>De groene waterstof die voor de testen wordt gebruikt, zo\u2019n 40 tot 65 ton per jaar,\u00a0 wordt nu nog per tankwagen aangevoerd door Essent. In 2026 wil Essent op het terrein van Nefit Bosch een elektrolyser van 2,5 megawatt bouwen die groene stroom uit de regio omzet in waterstof. Dankzij het lokale waterstofnetwerk dat in Deventer wordt gerealiseerd onder de noemer GROHW (\u2018Green Oxygen Hydrogen and Wasteheat\u2019) kunnen ook andere bedrijven hiervan gebruikmaken.<\/p>\n

Certificering
\n<\/strong>Naast duurtesten voert Nefit Bosch in het testcentrum, dat meer dan 3.500 vierkante meter beslaat, functionele testen uit voor cv-ketels, maar ook warmtepompen en hybride systemen. Hiertoe is het lab uitgerust met onder meer een geluidskamer, twee klimaatkamers en een EMC-ruimte. Alle testfaciliteiten voldoen aan de geldende normen, zodat ook certificatietesten voor derden kunnen worden uitgevoerd conform de eisen van certificeringsinstantie KIWA.<\/p>\n

Waterstof onmisbaar
\n<\/strong>\u201cWij achten de kans groot dat groene waterstof niet alleen zal worden ingezet voor industrie en mobiliteit, maar ook voor het verwarmen van woningen\u201d, zegt Baumeister. \u2018\u2019Niet als h\u00e9t alternatief voor aardgas, maar als een van de noodzakelijke componenten in de brede energiemix van de toekomst. Er zijn natuurlijk nog veel onzekerheden, maar als het zover is, zijn wij er klaar voor.\u2019\u2019 Nefit Bosch werkt sinds 2017 aan waterstoftechnologie. Eerder introduceerde Bosch al waterstofketels voor industrie en utiliteit.
