Dat is ruim 40% meer inschrijvingen dan verleden jaar.<\/p>\n<p>Door goed techniekonderwijs doen kinderen spelenderwijs vaardigheden op waar deze tijd van razendsnelle technologische voortgang om vraagt. Techniek daagt ze uit om op onderzoek uit te gaan en oplossingen te bedenken voor vragen die ze interessant vinden. Met de juiste begeleiding ontdekken kinderen zo hun talenten, die zij in de toekomstige samenleving kunnen inzetten.<\/p>\n<p>Sinds 2014 organiseren TechniekTalent.nu en het Ir. W. Maas Geesteranus Fonds een wedstrijd waarbij basisscholen bestaande techniekinitiatieven en techniekprojecten kunnen aanmelden om te delen met andere basisscholen. Hiermee worden basisscholen gestimuleerd om techniek in het lesaanbod op te nemen. De basisschool die wint ontvangt de TechniekTrofee, bestaande uit een oorkonde met een penning en een geldbedrag van \u20ac 3500,-.<\/p>\n<p>De jury bestaat uit de bestuursleden van het Maas Geesteranusfonds Jan Daams, Hanneke Maas Geesteranus, Elja Vels-Heijting, Pieter Maas Geesteranus, Andr\u00e9 Braakman en programmamanager Basisonderwijs van TechniekTalent.nu, Saskia Risseeuw. De scholen moeten aan diverse criteria voldoen: Is het techniekonderwijs innovatief en vooruitstrevend; Is techniek duurzaam verankerd in het lesaanbod? en Is het initiatief of project overdraagbaar op andere basisscholen? Jurylid Saskia Risseeuw: \u201cUit alle inzendingen nomineren wij drie scholen. Wat we ook interessant vinden is hoe een school omgaat met de eisen die een snel veranderende samenleving met zich meebrengt. Wat zijn de 21st century skills die kinderen moeten bezitten? Daarbij kan je denken aan creativiteit en ontwerpen, communiceren, samenwerken, kritisch denken, abstract denken en logisch redeneren en probleemoplossend vermogen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>De jury bezoekt tussen 28 april en 21 mei de 3 genomineerde basisscholen. Op 17 juni vindt de feestelijke uitreiking van de TechniekTrofee 2015 plaats op de winnende school.
