Met dit internationale framework wil DGBC de circulaire bouwoplossingen verbreden en toepasbaar maken naar de gehele bouwsector. Een belangrijke vraag daarbij is: hoe krijgt circulariteit een plek in de gehele bouwopgave, zo ook voor bestaand vastgoed? Het framework biedt een definitie voor een bestaand circulair gebouw en indicatoren om dit meetbaar te maken.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>DGBC heeft in 2018 het \u2018Framework for Circular Buildings\u2019 opgesteld gericht op nieuwbouw. Maar hoe zit het met bestaande gebouwen? 80% van het huidige vastgoed bestaat nog in 2050 en er is nog geen leidraad voor circulariteit in het bestaande vastgoed. Hoe kan die 80% op circulaire wijze beheerd en gebruikt worden? En waar moeten we voor bestaande bouw prioriteit aan geven? Dit rapport geeft invulling aan de behoefte van veel partijen om ook voor bestaande bouw circulariteit (en een circulair gebouw) te concretiseren. Het framework bestaat uit indicatoren voor bestaande gebouwen: voor de prestaties van het gebouw, het beheer en het gebruik.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Circulaire strategie\u00ebn<br \/>\n<\/strong>Gebouwen vergen continu hulpbronnen, zoals energie, materialen en water, maar hebben ook een functie om bij te dragen aan het welzijn van mensen en aan de biosfeer. Deze indicatoren zijn opgenomen in dit framework. Het is dan ook niet alleen toepasbaar voor BREEAM, maar ook voor gebouweigenaren, beleidsmakers en adviseurs, die dit kunnen gebruiken om een scherp beeld van circulariteit voor de bestaande bouw te krijgen. Het framework is ook bedoeld als inspiratiedocument voor de ontwikkeling van circulaire strategiee\u0308n in andere projecten en programma\u2019s om de bestaande gebouwde omgeving sneller circulair te maken.<br \/>\n\u201cDit framework geeft een duidelijke kapstok in een woud aan allerlei ontwikkelingen\u201d, stelt Inge van Baardwijk, Schiphol. \u201cEnergie wordt al langer geborgd in meerjarige onderhoudsplannen. Circulariteit moet een veel grotere plek krijgen in MJOP. Het framework helpt daarbij.\u201d Pam van de Klundert, Bouwinvest, vult aan: \u201cMet het framework kunnen we voortborduren op bestaande processen. Dit framework biedt handvatten om aan de slag te gaan met circulariteit binnen alle facetten van het gebouwmanagement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Indicatoren voor BREEAM(-NL) In-Use<br \/>\n<\/strong>Dit framework is een vervolg op het eerste framework, met een verdieping naar de bestaande bouw. Daarom wordt de koppeling nu gemaakt met BREEAM(-NL) In-Use, in plaats van BREEAM(-NL) Nieuwbouw. it framework is ook een handreiking aan de BRE om de Nederlandse expertise over de circulaire (bouw)economie te vertalen naar de internationale BREEAM In-Use standaard.<br \/>\nTijdens de WasteBuild-conferentie op vrijdag 16 juli is het internationale rapport aangeboden aan Tom Wilson, Delivery manager BREEAM bij BRE. Wilson: \u201cBRE en DGBC werken nauw samen om BREEAM verder te ontwikkelen. Dit rapport is een goed voorbeeld van het ontwikkelen van thought leadership op het gebied van circulariteit en duurzaam materiaalgebruik. Het framework zal richtinggevend zijn voor ons denken over circulariteit en we zullen bekijken hoe het kan worden opgenomen in toekomstige versies van BREEAM.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Samenwerking<br \/>\n<\/strong>Het rapport kwam tot stand in een samenwerking tussen DGBC, Circle Economy, Metabolic, SGS Search, Alba Concepts en Valstar Simonis.
