Een technologie uit 2004 kan 99.9% van het Covid-19 virus inactiveren, zo blijkt uit wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Daikin bevestigt de werking van haar gepatenteerde Streamer-technologie, die wordt toegepast in haar airconditioningmodellen en luchtreinigers. Na drie uur bestraling van het virus, is meer dan 99,9% van het coronavirus niet meer effectief.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Het onderzoek is uitgevoerd door het internationale Daikin Industries Ltd in samenwerking met Professor Shigeru Kyuwa van de Biomedische Wetenschappen Faculteit van de Universiteit van Tokyo, en een onderzoekgroep onder leiding van Shigeru Morikawa van de Microbiologie Faculteit van de Okayama Universiteit, Japan.<\/p>\n

Onderzoeksresultaten
\n<\/strong>Het onderzoeksteam heeft een experiment uitgevoerd waarbij de virussen voor een periode van \u00e9\u00e9n tot drie uur zijn blootgesteld aan de Daikin Flash Streamer technologie. De resultaten van het experiment laten het volgende zien:
\n- 93,65% inactiviteit van het coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) na een bestralingstijd van 1 uur;
\n- 99,97% inactiviteit van het coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) na een bestralingstijd van 3 uur.
\nHet onderzoek is als \u2018Study report on the inactivation effect of plasma ion generator (Daikin Streamer) on SARS-CoV-2\u2019 gepubliceerd door Shigeru Morikawa, van de Department of Veterinary Medicine, Microbiology Course, Okayama University of Science, Japan.<\/p>\n

Speerpunt
\n<\/strong>Edwin Hoogerwerf, managing director van Daikin Nederland, hierover: \u201cVentilatie en luchtreiniging spelen een belangrijke rol bij de verspreiding van het Covid-19 virus. Het verbeteren van luchtkwaliteit in woningen en gebouwen is altijd speerpunt geweest van Daikin. We willen niet alleen een comfortabele binnentemperatuur regelen, maar ook zorgen voor een gezond binnenklimaat. Goed voorbeeld van dit streven is onze Streamer technologie, die in 2004 is ontwikkeld en terugkomt in een aantal van onze airconditioning modellen en luchtreinigers. We kregen al vaak de vraag of deze technologie ook tegen het Corona-virus werkt. We kunnen nu melden dat deze technologie meer dan 99.9% van het Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) deactiveert, na blootstelling van het virus aan onze Streamer ontlading gedurende drie uren. We hopen dat dit ons in de toekomst helpt bij het vinden van oplossingen om de verspreiding van dit en vergelijkbare virussen tegen te gaan.\u201d<\/p>\n
