De groothandel neemt nog steeds een dominante positie in. Andere kanalen, zoals directe inkoop bij fabrikanten en pure online kanalen, verhogen wel de druk op het traditionele distributiesysteem in de branche. Zo blijkt uit recent marktonderzoek dat ongeveer een kwart van de Nederlandse installateurs rechtstreeks bij online winkels inkoopt. Ze besteden daar echter maar 3% van hun totale budget.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Het distributiemodel in drie stappen, van fabrikant tot groothandel tot professionele klant, blijft dominant in de \u2018vrij conservatieve installatiemarkt\u2019, concludeert marktonderzoeker USP's European Mechanical Installation Monitor na het interviewen van 900 installateurs uit zes landen. Pure online aankoopkanalen zijn echter wel in opkomst. Daarbij zijn er grote verschillen tussen de onderzochte landen. In Frankrijk en Polen gebruiken installateurs het minst de pure online kanalen. In Belgi\u00eb en Duitsland meldt 15% van de installateurs producten te kopen via deze kanalen. In Nederland geeft inmiddels een kwart van de installateurs aan hetzelfde te doen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Britten lopen voorop<br \/>\n<\/strong>Het Verenigd Koninkrijk loopt voorop met 34% van de installateurs die pure online kanalen gebruiken om installatieproducten te kopen. In vergelijking met twee jaar geleden is het aantal Britse installateurs die online inkopen zelfs met 20% gegroeid. In Frankrijk is in de afgelopen twee jaar juist geen enkele ontwikkeling in gebruik waargenomen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marginaal<br \/>\n<\/strong>Maar als alleen gekeken wordt naar de hoeveelheid geld die via online kanalen wordt besteed, dan blijkt dit nog marginaal te zijn. In het Verenigd Koninkrijk besteden de installateurs die online inkopen slechts 5% van hun totale budget hieraan. In ons land gaat het om slechts 3% van het budget dat een kwart van de Nederlandse installateurs online besteden. In Duitsland daarentegen, waar slechts 15% van de installateurs pure online kanalen gebruiken, ligt dit percentage echter even hoog.
