Het betrof de mogelijke risico\u2019s bij het vervangen van cv-ketels in flats of appartementencomplexen. Hij gaf zeven tips voor een veilige afvoer van rookgas in flats en appartementengebouwen. Zijn tips vindt u in dit artikel.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Zijn er plannen om in uw flat of appartementencomplex de cv-ketel te vervangen? Dat brengt risico\u2019s met zich mee. Wordt de rookgasafvoer niet goed ge\u00efnstalleerd, dan kunnen gevaarlijke situaties ontstaan. Klimaatexpert Fred Vos van Techniek Nederland geeft zeven adviezen om onder meer koolmonoxidevergiftiging te voorkomen. Handig voor de Vereniging voor Eigenaren (VvE), maar \u00f3\u00f3k voor individuele bewoners.<br \/>\n1. Een rookgasafvoerkanaal voor vr-ketels is niet geschikt voor hr-ketels. Bij het installeren van hr-ketels moet het gemeenschappelijke rookgasafvoerkanaal daarom altijd worden aangepast \u00f3f meteen worden vervangen door een rookgasafvoerkanaal dat geschikt is voor hr-ketels. Als dit niet gebeurt levert dat gevaarlijke situaties op, die bijvoorbeeld kunnen leiden tot koolmonoxidevergiftiging.<br \/>\n2. Maak als Vereniging van Eigenaren (VvE\u2019s) van de eventuele aanpassing of vervanging van het gemeenschappelijke rookgasafvoerkanaal geen sluitpost. Kostenoverwegingen mogen n\u00f3\u00f3it een reden zijn om geen budget te reserveren. Neem dus aanpassing\/vervanging van het rookgasafvoerkanaal standaard op in het meerjarenonderhoudsplan en reserveer er jaarlijks geld voor. Zo worden de leden van de VVE nooit geconfronteerd met een eenmalige grote uitgave, maar worden de kosten gespreid in de tijd.<br \/>\n3. Ook bij vervanging van een hr-ketel door een nieuwe hr-ketel moet het gemeenschappelijke rookgasafvoerkanaal worden ge\u00efnspecteerd. Net als een cv-ketel heeft ook een rookgasafvoerkanaal een beperkte technische levensduur. Niet ieder\u00e9\u00e9n weet dat, maar een goede, bij Techniek Nederland aangesloten installateur weet het zeker w\u00e9l.<br \/>\n4. Ga voordat de keuze voor een nieuwe cv-ketel wordt gemaakt na welk type gemeenschappelijk rookgasafvoerkanaal aanwezig is en welke typen cv-ketels hierop kunnen worden aangesloten. Vervang als individuele bewoner n\u00f3\u00f3\u00edt een cv-ketel zonder dat de VvE hiervan op de hoogte is.<br \/>\n5. Zorg als VvE voor duidelijke communicatie met de bewoners. Individuele bewoners die besluiten een vr-ketel door een hr-ketel te vervangen zijn er vaak niet van op de hoogte dat tegelijkertijd ook het gemeenschappelijke rookgasafvoerkanaal moet worden aangepast of vervangen. Het komt ook voor dat individuele bewoners een hr-ketel laten plaatsen zonder dat de VvE hiervan op de hoogte is. Niet doen!<br \/>\n6. De VvE zou altijd op de hoogte moeten zijn van de belangrijkste aandachtspunten en regels rond cv-ketelvervanging en een veilig gemeenschappelijk rookgasafvoerkanaal. Nuttige informatie hierover vindt u in de publicaties Handreiking en het Infoblad gemeenschappelijke rookgasafvoeren van de Rijksoverheid.<br \/>\n7.
