Werkgevers vissen nog te vaak en te lang achter het net in de strijd om talent. Dit blijkt uit de ROVC TechBarometer, een onderzoek uitgevoerd door ROVC, partner in trainingen en opleidingen voor technisch Nederland. Ruim 1.200 respondenten uit de technische branche geven in het rapport antwoord op vragen over markt-, HR- en opleidingstrends binnen de techniek. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Slechts \u00e9\u00e9n op tien vacatures binnen een maand vervuld<br \/>\n<\/strong>Bij slechts 9 procent van de technische vacatures wordt binnen een maand iemand aangenomen. Het grootste deel wordt echter pas in de periode na \u00e9\u00e9n maand ingevuld. Voor 48 procent van de vacatures wordt de geschikte kandidaat pas gevonden na \u00e9\u00e9n tot zes maanden. Het nijpend tekort aan technici is het duidelijkst te zien in de vacatures die na een jaar nog openstaan, dit is maar liefst 12 procent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aantal vacatures<br \/>\n<\/strong>Is de vraag dan zoveel groter dan het aanbod? De helft van de bedrijven (52%) heeft per jaar nul tot twee vacatures openstaan. Bij 21 procent zijn dit er zelfs zes of meer. Tot slot heeft 27 procent van de technische organisaties ieder jaar drie tot vijf vacatures te vervullen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alternatieven<br \/>\n<\/strong>John Huizing, directeur bij ROVC: \u201cWerving blijft voor veel bedrijven een grote uitdaging. De concurrentie wordt als vervelend ervaren, omdat er teveel mensen in dezelfde vijver vissen. We moeten daarom nadenken over alternatieven. Wil je als organisatie alleen starters aannemen die net klaar zijn met een technische studie? Of is het bij- en omscholen van oudere personen ook een optie? Door over andere opties na te denken, vergroot je jouw kansen om het juiste personeel te vinden. Daarnaast hebben bijgeschoolde werknemers de meest recente kennis in huis.
