Hij is hoofd arbeidsmarktinformatie van het UWV. \u201cHet personeelstekort in de bouw is z\u00f3 groot, dat leeftijd een steeds minder belangrijke rol speelt.\u201d Volgende week gaan de cao-onderhandelingen voor de installatiebranche van start. Techniek Nederland wil zich inzetten voor de positie van ouderen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Voorzitter Doekle Terpstra: \u201cHet is goed nieuws voor ouderen dat zij in toenemende mate kans hebben op een baan in de techniek. Dit toont aan dat\u00a0 technisch dienstverleners en installateurs zien dat deze groep grote toegevoegde waarde heeft voor hun bedrijf. Ze hebben ervaring, een grote dosis kennis en zijn niet snel van hun stuk te brengen. Ze hebben veel inzicht; dat helpt bij het uitvoeren van complexe projecten. In de ketensamenwerking komen hun autoriteit en communicatieve vaardigheden prima van pas. Veel werkgevers hebben wellicht te lang onderschat dat het veel voordelen biedt om ouderen in dienst te hebben. In onze sector is dat besef er in toenemende mate. Bedrijven kunnen daarbij wel ondersteuning gebruiken.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Volgens Terpstra doet Techniek Nederland er veel aan om het aantrekken van oudere werknemers aantrekkelijk te maken voor werkgevers. \u201cSamen met de vakbonden werken we hard aan duurzame inzetbaarheid; we willen dat ouderen vitaal de eindstreep kunnen halen. In de cao-onderhandelingen die volgende week van start gaan, is dit wat ons betreft een belangrijk onderwerp.\u201dDe bestuursvoorzitter van de technische sector ziet voor oudere werknemers ook mogelijkheden om het grote tekort aan techniekdocenten te verminderen. \u201cWat ons betreft worden hybride docenten de norm. Hybride docenten zijn professionals die een deel van de week actief zijn in de snel veranderende bedrijfsomgeving en een deel van de week voor de klas staan.
