Die stikstof is nodig om ge\u00efmporteerd aardgas geschikt te maken voor gebruik in huishoudens en bedrijven. Nu er minder eigen aardgas wordt gewonnen en de winning op termijn zal worden stopgezet, zal er steeds meer aardgas uit het buitenland komen.<\/p>\n<p>De stikstoffabrieken die Air Products zal bouwen produceren stikstof die met het buitenlandse aardgas gemengd wordt. Daardoor voldoet het wel aan de specificaties voor Nederlands aardgas en is het daarmee ook geschikt voor grootschalig gebruik.
