Met NEN 8025 kunnen installateurs eenduidig een algemene periodieke keuring (APK) voor installaties in woningen uitvoeren. Proeven met zo&#8217;n woning-APK in Amsterdam en Utrecht lieten zien dat meer dan de helft van de installaties in de gecontroleerde woningen niet veilig waren. Installatiekoepel Uneto-VNI vindt dat woningcorporaties en woningeigenaren de installaties in huis regelmaat moeten laten controleren.<\/p>\n<p>Voorzitter Doekle Terpstra van Uneto-VNI: \u201cInstallaties worden complexer, tussentijds aangepast of niet goed onderhouden. Dat kan gevaarlijke situaties opleveren en woningbrand, waterschade, elektrocutie of koolmonoxidevergiftiging veroorzaken. Met de woning-APK kunnen we veel ongelukken voorkomen. Met NEN 8025 hebben we daar nu een eigentijdse norm voor, gebaseerd op de actuele stand van de techniek. Een controle volgens de NEN 8025 is overigens niet verplicht, maar wel aan te bevelen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gas, water en elektra<br \/>\n<\/strong>De NEN 8025 beoordeelt uitsluitend de veiligheid van bestaande technische installaties en technische voorzieningen in woningen. Het gaat hierbij om de vakgebieden gas, water en elektra. Bouwkundige voorzieningen vallen niet onder de norm, aangezien die al in andere normen zijn vastgelegd.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advies voor veiligheid<br \/>\n<\/strong>Installateurs kunnen met behulp van NEN 8025 inspecteren of de technische voorzieningen in de woning voldoen aan de vereiste veiligheid. Op basis van de inspectie geeft de installateur een advies en kan hij ervoor zorgen dat de installaties weer veilig functioneren. De vernieuwde norm geeft ook een handvat voor het bepalen van de termijn waarop een volgende inspectie moet plaatsvinden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Groot draagvlak<br \/>\n<\/strong>NEN, Uneto-VNI en TVVL hebben samen met inspectiebedrijven, brandweer, opleiders, leveranciers en woningbouwcorporaties anderhalf jaar gewerkt aan de aanpassing van NEN 8025. Doekle Terpstra: \u201cWe zijn blij met het grote draagvlak voor de norm.
