Het dak speelt in op de weersverwachtingen en kan ruimte maken voor overtollig regenwater. De zogenoemde smartflowcontrol \u2018bemiddelt\u2019 tussen het weer en het dak. Wanneer er bijvoorbeeld hoosbuien worden voorspeld, zorgt dit systeem er automatisch voor dat het overtollige regenwater kan worden opgevangen in het dak.<\/p>\n<p>Het Slimdak op Het Schieblock is een klein testdak van 120 vierkante meter.&nbsp; Het is speciaal aangelegd om het systeem te kunnen presenteren aan bouwers, architecten, waterschappers en beleidsambtenaren. Het idee is dat het Slimdak kan worden toegepast op grote daken van bestaande gebouwen en bij nieuwbouw.<\/p>\n<p>Veel steden kampen regelmatig met wateroverlast. De oplossing van dit waterprobleem zou heel goed op het dak kunnen liggen. In Rotterdam alleen al is 14,5 miljoen vierkante meter plat dak beschikbaar. Het Slimdak-systeem zorgt ervoor dat deze oppervlakte kan worden ingezet voor de opvang van overtollig regenwater.<\/p>\n<p>De opening van het Slimdak vindt vanochtend plaats.
