\"\"<\/a>In het Noord-Brabantse Zundert is een woonwijk gerealiseerd voorzien van duurzame waterafvoer. Door waterbuffering in de bodem wordt regenwater niet geloosd in het gemeentelijke rioleringsstelsel, maar ge\u00efnfiltreerd in de grond. \u201cHierdoor wordt het gemeentelijke riool niet extra met schoon water belast en hoeft het water niet naar een waterzuivering geleid te worden. Zo kunnen er rioolbuizen met een kleinere diameter gebruikt worden, wat een flinke investering scheelt\u201d, vertelt Ruud van Eck van Civiel Adviesbureau Waterpas, verantwoordelijk voor de inpassing van de duurzame waterafvoer.<\/p>\n

Het regenwater wordt opgevangen in een apart buizenstelsel dat ervoor zorgt dat het water wordt afgevoerd naar een wadi.
