In 2017 voorzag 80 procent van de respondenten een tekort aan technici, kwalitatief en\/of kwantitatief, voor de komende vijf jaar. Dit jaar geldt dit wederom voor het overgrote deel (79%). Als belangrijkste oorzaak voor dit probleem wordt een slechte aansluiting van regulier onderwijs op het bedrijfsleven genoemd (30%). Ook een slecht imago van de technische branche (23%) en de vergrijzing (19%) spelen een grote rol.<\/p>\n<p>Dit blijkt uit de ROVC TechBarometer, een onderzoek uitgevoerd door ROVC, partner in trainingen en opleidingen voor technisch Nederland. 969 respondenten uit de technische branche geven in het rapport antwoord op vragen over markt-, HR- en opleidingstrends binnen de techniek.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Brancheorganisaties zijn geen effici\u00ebnte aanjagers<br \/>\n <\/strong>Initiatieven vanuit het bedrijfsleven worden gezien als de meest effici\u00ebnte aanjager om het tekort terug te dringen (39%). Wat ook wordt ervaren is de meerwaarde van initiatieven vanuit het onderwijs (19%) en de overheid (19%). Opvallend is dat slechts \u00e9\u00e9n op de tien vindt dat acties vanuit brancheorganisaties effici\u00ebnte aanjagers zijn voor het terugdringen van het nijpende tekort.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Handen ineen slaan<br \/>\n <\/strong>John Huizing, directeur bij ROVC: \u201cAl jaren staat de technische branche onder druk. 86 procent van de branche ziet het effect van het tekort aan technici op de concurrentiepositie van Nederland. Dat is zorgwekkend. De urgentie om het probleem aan te pakken is dan ook hoog. De economie trekt aan, waardoor de arbeidsmarkt enorm in de lift zit. Zo groeit het aantal banen en vacatures fors. Door het tekort kunnen organisaties niet meekomen met de groei van de economie. Daarom moeten onderwijs, het bedrijfsleven, brancheorganisaties en overheid nog meer dan op dit moment de handen ineen slaan om de technische sector een boost te geven.
