Op het vmbo en het hoger onderwijs steeg het percentage meisjes dat voor een technische richting koos licht. Technische opleidingen zijn nog steeds het meest populair bij jongens. Dat blijkt uit CBS-cijfers over het schooljaar 2017\/\u201918.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In het schooljaar 2006\/\u201907 koos 2 procent van de havo-meisjes en 6 procent van de vwo-meisjes voor Natuur en Techniek, waarbij wiskunde b, natuur- en scheikunde verplicht zijn. In 2017\/\u201918 was dit toegenomen tot respectievelijk 10 procent en 28 procent. Deze stijging werd ingezet in het schooljaar 2007\/\u201908, toen de vernieuwde tweede fase werd ingevoerd. Hierdoor werd het eenvoudiger om de profielen Natuur en Techniek \u00e9n Natuur en Gezondheid te combineren in een vakkenpakket. Vooral meisjes in het vwo kozen na de invoering van de vernieuwde tweede fase voor zo\u2019n dubbelprofiel. Natuur en Techniek is nog steeds het populairst bij jongens. Ook jongens kozen de afgelopen tien jaar vaker voor dit profiel, maar het verschil met de meisjes is kleiner geworden.<\/p>\n<p>Onder meisjes op het vmbo is Techniek de minst gekozen sector. In het schooljaar 2017\/\u201918 koos 4 procent van de meisjes en 33 procent van de jongens in de leerjaren 3 en 4 van vmbo-b, vmbo-k en vmbo\u2013g voor zo\u2019n opleiding. Het percentage techniekmeisjes is tussen de schooljaren 2011\/&#8217;12 en 2016\/&#8217;17 toegenomen van 3 procent naar 4 procent. Het percentage techniekjongens daalt al sinds 2003\/\u201904. Sinds 2007\/\u201908 kent het vmbo de intersectorale programma\u2019s, die ten koste van andere sectoren populairder werden. Technische vakken zijn vaak een onderdeel van deze programma\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Sinds het schooljaar 2010\/\u201911 halen meisjes op het mbo steeds vaker een technisch diploma. Toen deed 6 procent van de meisjes op het mbo zo\u2019n opleiding en dit groeide naar 11 procent in 2015\/\u201916. Vervolgens daalde het naar 10 procent een jaar later. Bij de jongens daalde dit aandeel juist van 46 procent (schooljaar 2010\/\u201911) naar 41 procent (2016\/\u201917). Meisjes halen meestal techniekdiploma\u2019s op andere terreinen dan jongens, zoals de kleding- en schoenenindustrie en vormgeving en audiovisuele productie.<\/p>\n<p>Hoewel meer meisjes (en jongens) in havo en vwo een technisch profiel kiezen, neemt de keuze voor techniek in het hoger onderwijs nauwelijks toe. Het aandeel vrouwen dat in het hoger onderwijs een diploma Techniek, industrie en bouwkunde haalt, nam tussen de studiejaren 2006\/\u201907 en 2015\/\u201916 toe van 2 procent tot 3 procent. In het laatstgenoemde collegejaar lag dit aandeel bij de jongens op 15 procent. Confectie, textieltechniek, stedenbouwkunde en biotechnologie zijn voorbeelden van studierichtingen die meer door vrouwen dan door mannen worden gekozen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Meisjes op havo, vwo en mbo kiezen vaker dan tien jaar geleden voor een technische richting.
