Zo wist het KRO-NCRV-programma Reporter Radio op basis van eigen onderzoek te melden dat de mechanische luchtventilatie in vaak pasgebouwde scholen niet goed werkt. In de winter is het te koud en in de zomer te heet, zo klagen de schoolbesturen. Soms kunnen de ramen van het klaslokaal niet open, waardoor er geen frisse lucht binnenkomt. In scholen waar de mechanische ventilatie wel goed werkt, maakt de apparatuur soms erg veel lawaai, wordt de ventilatie soms toch weer uitgezet.<\/p>\n<p>Onderzoekers van de Universiteit Maastricht bekijken momenteel op scholen in Limburg wat de invloed is van het binnenklimaat op de leerprestaties. In bijna 300 klaslokalen hangen sensoren die onder meer de luchtvochtigheid, het CO2-gehalte en de hoeveelheid geluid meten.
