Onderzocht is hoe je energie-installaties in gebouwen van intelligentie en zelfsturing kunt voorzien. De prijs is bedoeld om de bekendheid en kwaliteit van onderzoek aan hogescholen verhogen. Lector Laure Itard, projectleider van het onderzoek, nam de prijs in ontvangst. De jury: \u201cDoor met andere ogen naar een gebouw te kijken en de energie-installaties te beschouwen als het hart, de longen en de bloedvaten van een gebouw, komt Itard uit bij de diagnostische methoden uit de gezondheidswetenschappen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Laure Itard is verheugd over de winst: \u201cWe zijn al sinds de opening van onze vestiging in Delft in 2009 bezig met dit onderzoek. We hebben met studenten, docenten en bedrijven onder andere diagnostische methoden om energieverspilling tegen te gaan en een game om kennis te delen ontwikkeld, en studies op maat naar de wensen van gebouwbeheerders gedaan. De RAAK-award is voor ons de kers op de taart. Met het prijzengeld van 10.000 euro kunnen we het project weer een stap verder brengen. Het systeem is verouderd en aan vervanging toe.
