De norm is herzien omdat de vorige versie uit 2006 verouderd was en door nieuwe ontwikkelingen niet genoeg informatie meer bood. Belangrijkste wijziging is dat er nu onderscheid wordt gemaakt tussen permanente vuurbelasting en variabele vuurbelasting.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Methode<\/strong><br \/>\n NEN 6090 geeft voorts een methode voor de experimentele bepaling van de netto-verbrandingswaarde van materialen. Indien wordt afgezien van deze bepaling, kunnen ook de waarden worden gebruikt volgens de informatieve bijlagen B en C van deze norm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bouwbesluit 2012<\/strong><br \/>\n Met de herziening is de terminologie van NEN 6090 in lijn gebracht met die van het Bouwbesluit 2012. Daarnaast is de informatieve bijlage B uit 2006 vervangen door een nieuwe bijlage met kentallen voor het bepalen van de permanente vuurbelasting. Bovendien is in de informatieve bijlage D een voorbeeldberekening opgenomen van de permanente vuurbelasting van een kantoorgebouw, waarbij gebruik wordt gemaakt van bijlage B.
