Bijna de helft van de installatiebedrijven (46%) verwacht de komende vijf jaar zowel een kwalitatief als kwantitatief tekort. Dit blijkt uit de tweede editie van de ROVC TechBarometer, een onderzoek uitgevoerd onder 1.164 respondenten uit de technische branche. Het rapport geeft inzicht in de markt-, HR- en opleidingstrends binnen de techniek.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Oorzaak en oplossing<br \/>\n<\/strong>De belangrijkste oorzaak van het tekort is de slechte aansluiting van het reguliere onderwijs op het bedrijfsleven (27%), gevolgd door de vergrijzing (22%) en het slechte imago (17%) van de sector. Wanneer gevraagd wordt wat de meest effici\u00ebnte aanjager is voor het terugdringen van het tekort, is het vaakst gegeven antwoord vanuit de branche \u2018zelf actie ondernemen\u2019 (45%).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Branches onder de loep<br \/>\n<\/strong>ROVC heeft per branche de vraag gesteld in hoeverre zij een tekort verwachten in de komende vijf jaar. De maakindustrie volgt de installatiebranche op de voet, namelijk met 43 procent. De krapte wordt daarna het meest gevoeld door de machinebouw (40%) en de foodindustrie (39%). In de groothandel sector worstelt slechts 18 procent met dit probleem.<\/p>\n<p>John Huizing, algemeen directeur bij ROVC: \u201cHet aanbod van technici is dun gezaaid en dat speelt de technische branche al jaren parten. Dit is een zorgelijke trend. Wat mooi is om te zien, is dat technische bedrijven zelf de verantwoordelijkheid nemen om het probleem tegen te gaan. Het zou echter nog beter zijn als de bedrijven elkaar daar onderling in versterken en de krachten bundelen om het probleem wat betreft het tekort op te lossen. Ga van concurreren naar co\u00f6pereren. Denk hierbij bijvoorbeeld aan het oprichten van een bedrijvenschool of het gezamenlijk uitzetten van nieuwe initiatieven om meer technisch personeel te werven.
