De bouw trekt aan en in het verlengde daarvan profiteert ook de installatiesector, zo blijkt uit het rapport. Waar de exportcijfers relatief snel na het begin van de crisis al weer aantrokken, remden de achterblijvende binnenlandse bestedingen een snel herstel in de installatiesector. Die situatie is nu andersom, zo concludeert het rapport. Waar geopolitieke spanningen voor onrust zorgen, zijn de fors aantrekkende binnenlandse bestedingen een belangrijke motor voor de te verwachten groei in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Martijn Dekker, eigenaar van Digit Elektrotechniek uit Hoorn en voorzitter van de economische commissie van Uneto-VNI lichtte bij de overhandiging toe dat projecten anno 2016 steeds complexer worden en dat de installatiesector uitstekend blijkt te zijn toegerust om daarvan te profiteren. \u201cDe 130.000 medewerkers bij de circa 4.500 aangesloten installatiebedrijven spelen een belangrijke rol bij belangrijke projecten die Nederland moeten verduurzamen. De installatiequote bij projecten neemt nog steeds toe, waardoor het installatievolume zal stijgen van 16,5 miljard in 2016&nbsp; naar 17,5 miljard in 2017. Voor 2021 wordt zelfs een verdere stijging naar ruim 20 miljard verwacht.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Werkgeversvoorzitter Hans de Boer greep de gelegenheid aan om de eind dit jaar afscheidnemende Titia Siertsema te complimenteren. \u201cTitia heeft de sector door de magere jaren getrokken. En ik zie grote mogelijkheden voor technische bedrijven die een belangrijke rol moeten spelen bij de inpassing van domotica om het leven van mensen aangenamer, duurzamer en energiezuiniger te maken. Het zal in de toekomst geen uitzondering meer zijn dat bijvoorbeeld een cardioloog op afstand een diagnose stelt. Daarvoor moeten de installateurs de technische voorzieningen treffen\u201d, aldus De Boer.<\/p>\n<p>MKB-voorman Van Straalen complimenteerde Siertsema met het rapport dat volgens hem heel duidelijk aangeeft waar we op dit moment technisch staan, waar we naartoe moeten groeien en hoe de installatiesector moet inspelen op de volop aanwezige uitdagingen. \u201cIk zie dat de behoefte om zaken via internet met elkaar te verbinden (the Internet of things) explosief groeit en zie met genoegen hoe de midden- en kleinbedrijven in de installatiesector daar zo goed op in blijken te spelen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Alle partijen maakten bij al het positieve nieuws een belangrijke aantekening voor wat betreft de instroom van nieuwe goed geschoolde mensen die zo belangrijk is om invulling te geven aan de groeipotentie in de installatiesector.
